🧖‍♀️ SKIN PREP | Glow On, Gorgeous

Because flawless tans start with flawless prep.

A glowing tan begins long before the first spray. To ensure your color develops evenly, lasts longer, and looks ultra-natural, follow our signature skin prep routine.

✨ 24–48 HOURS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

✔️ Exfoliate Thoroughly
Use an oil-free body scrub, exfoliating mitt, or dry brush to slough off dead skin. Focus on dry areas like elbows, knees, ankles, and wrists.

Pro Tip: This helps your tan apply smoothly and fade evenly.

✔️ Wax or Shave Early
Hair removal should be done at least 24 hours before your tan. Shaving too close to your appointment can open pores and create dotted texture.

✔️ AVOID Heavy Lotions & Oils
Avoid applying rich moisturizers or oils before your tan—they can create a barrier and prevent even absorption.

🛑 WHAT TO AVOID

  • Dove, Olay, or bar soaps

  • Retinols, AHAs, or acne treatments

  • Loofahs or exfoliating mitts (after tanning)

  • Chlorine and saltwater—can cause uneven fading

  • Deodorant

✨ DAY OF YOUR TAN

✔️ Arrive With Clean, Dry Skin
Shower, rinse thoroughly, and skip all body products—no makeup, deodorant, lotion, sunscreen, or perfume.

✔️ Wear Loose, Dark Clothing
Stick to flowy fabrics, preferably cotton or bamboo. Avoid jeans, tight bras, or anything that could rub the tan off during development.

✔️ Bring Flip Flops or Slides
Closed-toe shoes can smudge your freshly sprayed glow.

✨ AFTER YOUR TAN

⏱ Wait to Rinse
Your technician will tell you exactly when to shower. No sweating, swimming, or tight clothes until then.

🚿 First Rinse = Just Water
Use lukewarm water only—no soap, scrubs, or shampoo during your first rinse. Don’t panic if color runs off—that’s just the cosmetic bronzer.

🧴 Moisturize Daily
Hydrated skin = longer-lasting glow. Use a tan-safe, oil-free lotion morning and night.
